Bryce

Bryce Newton began dancing at Spotlight when he was just a young child. He had so much energy at the age of 3; dance lessons provided the perfect outlet for him and offered a safe space to create and explore. Bryce says, “Teaching kids is an incredibly rewarding experience. I find immense joy in witnessing their eyes light up with amazement when I teach them a new move or help them master a skill they've been working on.” He believes Spotlight is truly invaluable, especially in a small community where such spaces are scarce. Bryce grew up in the studio taking all styles of dance and competing at a young age. He performed on the Riley Stage at the Iowa State Fair every summer for 16 consecutive years. At age 9, he was crowned  Junior Master Dance for Midwest Dance Masters. He performed with the SWCC Dance Team and then transferred to Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO and helped CMU become National Collegiate Dance Team Champions. Bryce is currently Spotlight’s Crown Director and SWCC’s Assistant Dance Team Coach.
