Melisa

Melisa Crook started dance lessons at a young age. She has always had a passion for the performing arts and education. In college, she was a member of the Simpson Dance Team and captain of the squad her junior year. As an adult, she took clog classes and found a deep passion for rhythmic movement. She is now a certified clog coach and choreographs competitive clog routines for multiple dance studios. After 10 years of studio experience, she went back to school to earn her master's degree in education. While in grad school, she coached the SWCC Dance Team. She later coached the East Union High School Dance Team, helping them become the 2018 Iowa State Dance Team Champions. She currently is the Peppers Coach and teaches English at Creston High School. When she’s not dancing, she’s spoiling her two dogs, riding her bike, or floating down a river with her husband, Matt. She loves a good book and hanging out with her family.
